THE AUSTRALIAN MEASURE, COMPULSORY TRAINING FOR MILITARY AND NAVAL FORCES. United Press Association —By Klectric Telegraph Copyright. Received September 22, 9.5 a.m. MELBOURNE. September 22. The Defence Bill provides for compulsory military training between the ages of 12 and 14, to 18 for senior cadets, and from 18 to 20 for the citizens' forces. The citizens' naval forces are to be divided into militia, volunteers, and reserves, and the citizens' military forces into active and reserve. It is proposed to limit the application of the compulsory clauses to the more populated areas at first. Employers preventing their em> ployees from rendering personal service are liable to a penalty of a hundred pounds.
