VICTORIAN BUDGET.
A SURPLUS. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright. Received Septembar 23, 1 a.nr.. MELBOURNE, September 22. The State Treasurer has delivered his Budget. The revenue lor the year ended June 13th was £8,195,400, ai d the expenditure £8,048,643, leaving a surplus of £146,760. The railways produced a surplus of £300.000, while in general revenue there was a deficit of £153,297. He estimated the revenue for the current year at £8,427,650, and the expenditure at £8,421,268. There would be no increase in taxation, bnt it was proposed under a new Income Tax Bill to provide additional revenue in the next financial year.
