THE JULIUS KNIGHT SEASON.
Tuesday next will see the reappearance of Mr Knight and his company at the Town Hall, on which occasion Mr J. C. Williamson will present the powerful and sensational play, for the first time here, "The Breed of the Treshams," in which Mr Julius Knight will sustain hia crreafc part of "Reresby," "The Rat." The action of the play is set during the time of the Civil War in England, and the hero deals -with friends and foes in a fashion that always commands popular favour. The character of "Reresby," the hard-drinking adventurous, cynical hero, is said to be a remarkable one, calling for the most perfect mastery of art with delicate handling. The opportunities are splendidly prolific for such an artist as Mr Julius Knight can be in such situations. "The Breed of the Treshams,"' produced in London some twelve months ago, quickly became a success. The company supporting the star is numerically very strong, comprising over 70 mam burs. Also included in the personnel ia a grand operatic chorus and complete ballet. The box plan will be open at Miss Rive's on Friday next.
