FOUND DEAD.

By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTUHURCH Sept. 21. Wm. J. Venables was found dead in bed at his boarding house to-day. He had been ailing recently, and on retiring last night asked not to be disturbed in th* morning. When he did not put in an appearance at midday his room was visited, and he wa3 found dead, the probable cause of death being heart tailure, His brother, Major Venables, was for soma time in the Imperial Army, and is now resident in the North Island.
