METEOROLOGICAL.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Sunday was 26 points, and for the 24 hour 3 preceding 9 a. m. on Monday 6 points. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 20. The following is the Rev. D. C. bates' general forecast:—Cloudy and wet weather expected generally, and the conditions are likely to be very unsettled for two or three days over, the whole country. The barometer, though unsteady in the South, will probably continue low with strong winds generally between north and west over the North Island, and between south east and west over the South Island. Foggy weather now prevails on the East Coast of the South Island. Snow may be expected shortly on the high levels.
