Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., recort as follows regarding their wool, skin and hide sales today:—We submitted a catalogue comprising 35 bags and bales of wnol, 1,500 sheepskins 1,350 calfskins, 350 large hides and the usual quantities of bones, tallow, hair and cowtails. Throughout the sale bidding was very spirited, and the whole offering realised prices equal to late rates, and in some cases exceptionally good prices were obtained Quotations: Wool: Crutchings, 3Jd, 4d tosd; lambs, 7£d; dead, 5Jd, 6Jd; Crossbred, 6d, 6fd; black. sd. Skins: Crossbred, medium, 4Jd, s|d, 6d, 6£d, 6fd to 7d per lb; crossbred, fine, 7Jd to 7£d; crossbred, inferior, 4fd to 5Jd; lambs, s£d to 6fd ;'„dead, ! s£d to 6Jd; half wools, 3|d; pelts, l 3d to 3|d;. dead and damaged, 4id: | butchers' skins at per piece; crossbred, fine, 4s lOd to 7s 4d •, crossbred, medium, 4s, 4s 9d, 4s lid, ss, 5s lOd, 6s 4d, 7s Id to 7s 4d; black, 3s 6d; green, 4s 4d to 6s 3d; salted, ss; other lines, crossbred, inferior, Is 7d to 5s 8d; dead. 4s 7d; lambs, pelts Is Id. Calfskins: The competition was,very keen, and the prices realised are ahead of late sales. Good sound calf sold at from 7d to 9gd pc- lb, this latter price being equal to 4s 6d. Cut 'calf, 6gd per lb; yearlings, 6gd. Hides: The prices realised for hides were beyond the Sydney value in some cases.
