METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telearaph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 17. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' weather forecast:—Cloudy and wet weather probable generally, with strong westerly winds. The barometer will probably fall further in the northern districts, and after rising slowly for a short time in the southern districts fall again for an • other westerly disturbance due on the 19th. The weather to-day has bene stormy about Cook Straits and on the West Coast of the Soi;th Island; cloudy and uni settled elewhere.
