BOMB OUTRAGE
TREASURE VAN DAMAGED.

Received September 17, 8.0 a.m. ;; CALCUTTA, September 16. A bomb wa3 thrown at a passenger train fifty-seven miles from Calcutta Ihe explosion blew off'the roof of a treasure van containing fifteen lakhs of rupees (about £100,00u). The treasure was in charge of a native escort, who guarded it with great ccutage. There were no casualties.
ATTACK ON LOYAL CHIEFS
Received September 17, 8.20 a.m. CALCUTTA, September 16. The newspaper Bengali, of Calcutta, publishes an attack on the chiefs who have written to the London "Times" declaring their abhorrence of seditious crimes.
