The following statement of Treasurer's balances down to August 30th, 1909, was presented to the meeting of the Rlasterton Borough Council on Tuesday evening last: —General Account, cr., £7,448 7s 3d; Gasworks, dr., £459 4s 3d; Library, dr., £B7 | 13s Id; Deposit, £359 10s; Tarmac, dr., £42 10s Id; Waterworks, cr. £l9 2s 4d; Abattoir, dr., £274 2s 9d; Special Drainage cr., £SB 8s 2d; Bannister Street, cr., 19s 4d; Loan (£25,000), cr., £403 lis lOd; Bank Overdraft, dr., £6,6y? 8s 9d. Loan Accounts —Gasworks £12,000 Loan, dr., £SB 14s 7d. Summary of Balances.—Overdraft on District Fund Account, £6,697 8s 9d; In bands of Treasurer's Loan Account, £SB 14s 7d; Dr. balance at date, £6,638 14s 2d. y Statement of Rates.—Arrears of zvates, Ist April, 1909, £440 5s 2d; Rate made 29th June, 1909, £9,526 15s 3d. Amount Collected.— Previouly reported, £1,241 6s lid; Reported now, £2OO 10s 4d; Recover' able and irrecoverable arrears, £8,525 3s 2d.
