CARTERTON HEWS.

(From Our Resident Corrasp ondent) Tuesday. An acceptable gift in the form of a beautiful bound copy of the altar services has been presented to St. Mark's Church by the voung men of the parish. Another case of diphtheria has occurred in the neighbourhood of Carterton. Last night a social was tendered to Mr and Mrs S. Hart by the Methodists and other friends, in honour of their diamond wedding. The guests of the evening were presented with an illuminated address. Mrs Hart also being given a Bible.
