CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH.
ANNIVERSARY SERVICES. The first anniversary services of the Congregational Church was con tinued last evening, when an oldfashioned tea meeting was held in the church. A public meeting was afterwards held, at which Rev. Hodge presided. Addresses were delivered by Rev. Hodge, Rev. A. McDonald Aspland (Courtenay Place, Wellington), Rev. J. Reed Glasson (Terrace, Wellington), Rev. Thomas (Nelson), Rev A. 1. Thornpson (Knox Church. Maste.rton), and Messrs F. Meadowcroft Hunt and Lankshear. The annual report was read by the secretary, Mr Hendry, who proposed its adoption. This was seconded by Mr Redman senr. and carried. The Treasurer (Mr J. Hunter) read the balance sheet, which was adopted. A special appeal for funds in aid of wiping off the existing debt of £175 on the church resulted in £43 12s being subscribed in the 1 room. i During the evening Mr C. Redman sang a i-.ol».
