The Australian cricketers to-day began a match against an All** England team at Scarborough. The weather was tricky, though the wicket was good. The Australians won the toss, and put the Englishmen in first. , Ihe innings lasted 170 minutes, and closed for 129 runs. Scores: — ENGLAND. First Innings. After making a fairly gosd start with three wickets for' 73, the Australian team went to pieces. The first wicket was down for 22, and the second for 34. Bardsley played steadily, but was eventually deceived by a break. The half century was compiled in fifty minutes. The fourth wicket fell for 77, the fifth for 81, the sixth for 95, and the seventh for 96.
