TENUI.
§ (From Our Own Correspondent). TENUI, September 9. A demonstratior of pruning, spraying, budding and grafting was given by Mr F. E. Nottage, Government fruit expert, yesterday, in an orchard kindly lent for the occasion by Mr J. A. Perry. Although the weather was unsettled quite a number of settlers were present, and were much interested in the work that was doiie. Mr Nottage answered a number of questions. Afte; the demonstration Mrs Perry entertained the large crowd at afternoon tea, a kindness that was much appreciated, special word of praise is due to Mr H. A. Nevins, President of the Farmers' Union, for getting Mr Nottage to visit here.
