METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, September 9. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' weather forecast:—Anticyclonic pressure now prevails with fine weather and moderate winds, except about the East Cane. The present indications are for a change in the southern districts, where the winds will probably back by the west to north and freshen during the next two days in the north. The southerly winds now prevailing will also veer by east to north, and the gNas fall, first in the southern districts, for unsettled weather.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Uppar Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Thursday was 14 paints.
