Saturday. It is stated here that the spacious building in High street, which until lately was occupied by Nurse Gren • gor, as a nursing home, is likely to be acquired for a Catholic Convent. Mr F. Sewell, of Belvedere, has received the appointment of first assistant at the Kaponga Cheese Fac• tory. The annual cuncert and dance under the auspices of the Belvedere School was held last night, the schoolroom being packed. A pro> gramme contributed by adults and children attending; the school, kept the audience well amused. At the dance held after. Mr L. Bishop was the musician, arid Mr W. Earle, Master of Ceremonies. Mr W. Warlbam has commenced ihe contract for the erection of a dwelling at the southern end of the town for Mr H. Huntley.
