NOTICE is hereby given of the intention of the Castlepomt County Council, at a meeting to be held on the 26th day of September, 1909, to confirm the following resolutions passed by way of special orders at a special meeting of the Council held on the 14th day of August, 1909: — 1. Authorising the raising of a loan of /250 under " The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908," for erecting a bridge over the Tauoru river, on the Alfredton-Tinui faßoad. * 2. Striking a special rate to meet interest and other charges on the said loan. 3. Striking a special rate to meet interest and other charges on a loan of JBBO, oeing 10 per c<mt. on the loan of /f3OO authorised te be raised by the Council for foimiDg and fencing the road from Whakataki to Castlepoint. 4. Increase the number ot Ridings -within the County from three to four,' and alter the Riding boundaaies and name the said Ridings, East, West. North, and South, respectively. Acceptances for the First Day's events will close with the Secretary at the office of the Club, Bulls, on FRIDAY, September iQth, 1909, at 9 p.m., and for Second DajP events at the office of the Marton JnWev Hub at 9 o'clock on the evening of the First Day. All Races to be run under the New Z .'aland Ruleß of Racing, The winner of any race after declaration of weights, to carry a penalty of 61b, of two or more races 101b, provided that any horse handicapped at Bst 101b and over will carry only half these penalties.
