NOTICE is hereby given of the intention of the Masterton County Council, at a meeting to be held on the 14th day of September, 1909, under the provisions of sections 117 to 119 of "The Counties 'Act, 1908," to make the following rates for the year, commenced on the first day of April, 1909, and ending on the 31st day of. March, 1910, upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the County, as appearing on the Valuation Roll in force for the said period. Riding of Opaki.—A general rate of one-half penny in the pound. Riding of Rangitumua.—A general rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound. Riding of Upper Taueru. —A general rate of three-farthings in the pound. Riding of Te Whiti.— A general rate of one half-penny in the pound. Riding of Wainuioru. —A general rate of three-farthing's in the pound. Rifling of Alfredton.—A genera) rate of three-farthings and a separate rate of nine sixteenths of a penny In the pound. The said rates will be made payable at the County Office, Chapel Street, Masterton, in one sum on the 16th day of September, 1909.
