CORRESPONDENCE.
(To the Editor). Sir,—l enclose a slip of a Christchurch paper by Vthich I see settlers cannot get suitable bush men. Would you kindly inform me the names cf sums of the settlers from whom I would be likely to gel a piece of bush to fall. There are three men in this camp on Banks' Peninsula bushfelling, and we would be very grateful to you if you could out us in the way of getting another contract as soon as we are cut out here, which will be in about three weeks' time, and oblige your humble servant,' H. COOKSLEY, Care of C Field. Esq., Ataahua, Kaituna, Banus' Peninsula. August 31st, 1909. (The "slip" referred to reads as follows:—"Settlers in various parts of the Forty-mile Bush are complaining that they are unable to obtain suitable men for bushtelling, and, consequently, less bush has been felled this season than has been the case for many years."—Ed.
