UNEMPLOYMENT DIFFICULTY.
"RAPIDLY ON THE MEND." jißy Telegraph—Press 'Association. WELLINGTON, September 1. The unemployed difficulty iafrapldly on the mend, judging by facts in possession of the Hon. J. A. Millar (Minister of Labour). Mr Millar informed a "New Zealand Times" representative to-day that work waa getting much more plentiful. Reports received from Labour Department's branches aU over the country indicated that the labour market was becoming normal a * ain ' . »„ • "So the crisis is over?" queried the pressman. "There never was any crisis," answered Mr Millar. "The slight increase of unemployment !thi» winter waa accentuated by the inducement to come to town, thus'concentrating 'out-of-works' at two or three centres. Whatever little difficulty there was is disappearing, and the outlook is favourable for a good spring. Men are leaving public works all the time because they are able to find other employment."
