Messrs Levin and Company, Limited, report as follows regarding Friday's sale:—We offered 35 bales of wool, 2,600 skins, 400 hides and calfskins, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair There was a good attendance of buyers. Wool.—There is no change to report, all wool selling freely at last sale rates. We quote. —Crossbred fleece 6d to Bd. lambs 6d to 7d, superior crutchings 4|d to s£d, medium crutching 4d to 4Jd, inferior crutchings 3d to 4d, pieces and bellies ?.d to 4d, Jocks IJd to 3d. Skins.—Strong at late rates. We quote: Fine crossrbeds 7d to 7|d, crossbreds 6ti to 7Jd, lambs' skins s&d to 6Jd, dead skins 3d to sd, dead hoggets 4d to s£d, short wools 4J to 4§d, dry pelta iJjd tv 4d, green skins 4s to 6s 4d, green skins extra heavy to 7s 3d. Tallow. —Firm. Parcels in shipping order £23 15, tins £lB to £2O ss, rough fat £lO to £ls. Horsehair.—ls to Is 2d per lb. Horns.—ss to 16s per hundred. Cowtails.—ls 3d to Is 7d per dozen. Hides, —Larger attendance of buyers than usual. Competition very keen and prices advanced Jd to id for all ox hides and calfskins. We quote.—Ox hides heavy 6*, dto 7|d, medium 6d to 61d. light 5d to 6d, cow hides 5d to sgd, cut and slippy hides 2d to sd, stag hides 2Jd to 4id bull hides 2d to 4gd, yearlings 5d to 6Jd, calf best 7d to 9|d, calf medium 5d to 6|d, calf cut and slippy 3d to sd. The New Zealand Loan and Mer- , cantile Agency Company, Limited, report as follows*—Keen bidding ; characterised the sale, and we have to report a firm market fer wool with prices slightly in advance of j late rates. Skins were in demand i as also were hides and callskins j Tallow sold at about last sale's j prices. Crutchings still continue to come forward in good <i quantities for which the demand is 1 good, and prices to-day shoved a fl hardening tendency, and in some in- 2 stances aJdto Jd advance. Skin valued ruled at about the same level as last sale; butchers' skins were siJghtly easier; hides were from par to l-8d hiuher. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd. report having held thier fort- . nightly aale of wool and Bkins on Friday when they offered a good catalogue of all classes to a large attendance of buyers. The following gives an indication of prices realised: —Wool.—In good demand, ; prices being from Jd to Ad higher than those ruling at last sale. Medium crossbred 6d to 6|d, crutchings 3|d to s|d dingy lambs 6d, aead 4d.
