THE CAPTURED PRETENDER. BROUGHT TO FEZ IN A CAGE. Received August 29, 5.5 p.m. MOROCCO, August 28. The Pretender, Bu Lamara (who was captured in a mosque in the country of the Beni M'Sra tribesmen), was brought into Fez in an iron cage, carried on a camel's back, amid the jeers of the populace. He boldly insulted the crowd, and the cage was subsequently deposited in the Palace Courtyard, where the Sultan interviewed the prisoner through the bars. Bu Lamara declined to speak unles3 given new clothes and was permitted to rest. His request was granted.
