The Australia-Middlesex cricket match was resumed to-day at Lords,, in dull weather. The wicket was much faster. Warner and Tarrant, the not out men, continued the county's innings. After eleven runs had been added to the overnight score Tarrant lost his wicket, Whitty taking a good right-handed catch at mid-on. Three for 188.

Armstrong was maintaining a fine length, but the batting was steady. Two hundred was compiled in 19d minutes. Warner showed fine defence. Robertson, after a capital innings lasting seventy-five minutes,, fell to a catch by Cotter. Four for 256.

Hebden was taken easily at midon, after contributing 22 to the score. Five for 302. Warr.er gave ai chance at the wickets off Armstrong when his total stood ac 126.
