Acceptances for the First Day's Events will close with the Secretary at the office of the Club, Marton, on Tuesday, 24th August, 1909, at 7.30 p.m., and for the Second Day's Events at the same place at 9 o'clock on the evening of he First Day. . RULES. All races to be run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing. The winner of any race after declaration of weights io carry a penalty of 71b; of two or more races, 101b. A Hunter is a horse whose owner can rio.ii.to at scales a certificate from the Master of any Hun that the korse has been ridden with the hounds during the ast season to the satisfaction of the Master, and has neither won nor is nominated at the date of entry for the race of £4O or over- Hack and Hunter races excepted. .... .
