NEW ZEALAND LADIES' TOURNAMENT.

By Telegraph—Special to the Age. NAPIER, August 24. The New Zealand Ladies' Championship Hockey Tournament was continued to-day, on the Recreation Ground, Napier. The play, taken all round, was scarcely so interesting as on the preceding days. The following are the resalts:— WAIRARAPA A (nil) v. HAWSE'S

BAY B (nil). Unfortunately of the Wairarapa team missed the train at Hastings, and consequently they went on the field with only ten players, including an emergency. Notwithstanding this handicap they held their own well, and several times looked like scoring, but Hawke's Bay defended well Hawke's Bay were at times aggressive, and the game was even. No score was obtained by either side, the game thus ending in a draw. HAWKE'S BAY A (6) v. HORO-

WHENUA (nil). This was a one-sided game, Hawke's Bay winning oy 6 goals to nil. Miss Wellwood scored four goals, and Mias Crowley two. TARANAKI (2) v. WAIRAR*APA B (ml). The first spell was uninteresting and unproductive. In the second spell Taranaki attacked briskly, and Miss McEwan scored A serbs of Taranaki rushes followed, and Miss Young scored their second goal. OTHER MATCHES. Nelson beat Wanganui by 2 goals to nil. Auckland beat Wellington by three goals to nil. Napier will again be the fcene of the play to-morrow. Special interest will be taken in the m itch between Nelson and Hawke's Bay A, who are the only teams who have not so far been b.aten.
