HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT, The Department of Industries and Commerce.has received the following table from the High Commissioner, dated London, August 21st:— 1 The mutton market is weak, but there is a better demand ■'or lightweight. [The butter market is firm, and there is a gocd demand. Danish is quoted at 116s per cwt., and Siberian 102 a per cwt. m '£tie cheese market is steady, with a moderate demand. New Zealand Is quoted at 59s per cwt. The hemp market is firm, but little doing, New Zealand good fair, on spot, £26 per ton; New Zealand fair grade on spot, per ton, £25. September-December shipments:— ; New Zealand good fair grade, per 'ton, £25 10a; New Zealand fair grade, per top, £24 10s Quotations 1 are nominal ' Manila output 29,000 bales.
