Nominations for all events will dose at the Secretary's Office, Marton, on Fhiday, 13tli August, at 7.30 psm. Weights for the First Day's Events will be declared on or before Wednesday, 18th August, 1909, and for the Second Day's Events at the Office of the Club at 8 p.m. on the evening of the First Day. 1 Acceptances for the First Day's Events will close with the Secretary at the office of the ; Club, Marton, on Tuesday, 24th August, 1909, at 7.30 p.m., and for the Second Day's Events at the same place at 9 o'clock on the evening of he First Day. RULES. All races to be run under the New Zealand. Rules of Racing. The winner of any race after declaration of weight;, to carry a penalty of 7lb; of two or more races, 101b. A Hunter is a horse whose owner can produce at scales a certificate from, the Master of any Hun that the horse has been riddfen with the hounds during the ast season to the satisfaction of the Master, and has neither won nor is nominated' at the date of entry for the race of £4O or over— Hack ivud Hunter races excepted'.
