CARTERTON NEWS.
(From Our Resident Reporter). Saturday. Mr E. Greathead, at one time manager of the Parkvale Dairy Company, a position he resigned to follow farming, has been appointed manager of the Rexdale Dairy Factory, near Mangamaire. The shareholders of the Parkvale Dairy Company held their annual meeting this afternoon, Mr C. Lorenzen presiding. The report and balance sheet was adopted, and Messrs W. J. Denbee, E. Matson, and C. Lorenzen were elected to the directorate. It was decided to open ihe factory on Wednesday next, and to donate Is per supplier to the prize fund of the butter fat competition of the P. and A. Society. Mr C. Lorenzen was at a later meeting re-elected chairman of directors. The Dalefield Dairy Company held their annual meeting this afternoon, Mr A. Knutson in the chair. The balance sheet was read and adopted. Messrs R. G. Welch, C. Tunnicliffe, and W. A. Hart were elected directors and it was decided to open the factory on August 30th. It was resolved to donate Is per supplier to the butter fat competition of the Pastoral Society. The directors met later, and re-electe jMr A. Knutson chairman. Messrs Singleton and Cuddie addressed the gathering later on the subject of cow testing, and at close a large number of shareholders handed in their names to have their herds tested by the Agricultural Department.
