THE CRETAN CRISIS.
POWERS' NOTE TO TURKEY. Received August 22, 5.5 p.m. 1 LONDON, August 21. The Powers in a fresh Note to Turkey regret that the latter did not leave the settlement of the Cretan crisis in the hands of the protecting Powers, who have shown every disposition to safeguard Turkish interests. ,
The Note suggests regarding the complaints of Gr.ek activity in Mace doniaJJ that the best course would be to \ submit any grievance to th 2 Powers, signatory to the treaty of Berlin.
It is stated that the Porte has been warned in the event of war that the Powers would guarantee Greece's territorial integrity.
