Nominations for all events will close at the Secretary's Office, Marton, on Friday, 13th August, at 7.30 p.m. Weights for the First Day's Events will be declared on or before Wednesday, 18th August, 1909, and for the Second Day's Events at the Office of the Ciub at 8 p.m. on the evening of the First Day. Acceptances for |he First Day's Events will close with the Secretary at the office of the Club, Marton, on Tuesday, 24th l August, 1909, at 7.30 p.m., and for the j Second Day's Events at the same place at j 9 o'clock on the evening of he First Day.
RULES. All races to be run under the New Zealand Rules of Eacing. The winner of any race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 71b; of two or more'races,. 101b. A Hunter is a horse whose owner can produce at Fcales a certificate from the Master of any Bun that the horse has been ridden with the hounds during the ast season to the satisfaction of the Mas-ter, and has neither worThor is nominated at the date of entry for the race of £4O or over—Hack and Hunter races excepted, ARTHUR WAY, Secretary.
