By Telegraph—Special to Wairarapa Age. PALMERSTON N., August 19. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., Palmerston North, report on their sale here to-day. A small yarding of both sheep and cattle was offered, competition was not keen, and several lines were passed at auction. Sales were effected at the following quotations: —Fat wethers 17s, store wethers 12s 6d, 2-tooth wethers lis 9d, t.m. Romney ewes in lamb 143 6rt, small mixed aged ewes in lamb 9s 2d, springing cows £5 5s to £6 2s 6d, store cows 25 s to 39s 4 6d, heifers in calf £3 Is, forward cows £2 6s.

tile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held a most successful sale of live and dead stock on account of Mr York, of Ballance, yesterday. Prices realised were the highest on record for this season in the Pahiatua district, dairy cows selling from £5 to £l9 10s, the average throughout the whole head beinc close on £lO. Twoyear heifer (small) making £2 12s 2d, yearling heifers £1 19s, yearling bulls 245, 3-year bullocks £4 ss. Fowls, implements, harness and furniture making full market rates. A double-seated buggy making £47 Is, all other articles selling proportionately well. We would remind those still in need of cows that we have an unreserved sales of cows, etc., at Kakariki, on Friday, on account of Mr M. Taylor.
