WORKMEN'S HOMES.

The Acting-Premier, referring to the subject of workers' homes* said his colleague, Mr Millar, waff inclined to think workmen's homes up to the present had been rather a failure, and he proposed to obtain an amendment in the Act.. dome of these buildings were tenantless, and Mr Millar was inclined to think it would be wise to pro\ ide that those taking up these homes should be able in the end to make them their own. That would assure a permanent tenancy.
