NEW HEBRIDES.
INFLUX OF FRENCH SETTLERS. Received August 19, 11.5 a.m. MELBOURNE, August 19. The secretary of foreign missions of the Presbyterian Church has been advised that large contingents of French settlers are arriving in the New Hebrides, by each steamer. Special arrangements for their speedy settlement are being made. The French Government has also voted conside/able sums towards fighting the French settlers' cases before the approaching Aiglo French Land Court.
