PONIES STABBED

Received August 19, 8.5 am. LONDON, August 18. A number of pit ponies, belonging to the Powell Duffryn Company, were put into a field at Newbridge. Monmouthshire, owing to the stoppage of the collieries. Two were discovered stabbed to the heart, and five others suffering from gashes on the neck and body.
