STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Limited, report on their Maaterton Stock sale held yesterday:—Stock came forward up to advertised numbers, hut owing to the wretched weather prevailing the attendance was small. Business at auction dragged, but with the exception of a couple of pens of hoggets we quitted the whole of our entry. A small lot of 180 breeding ewes in good condition ."old under their value. The entry of cattle was limited to a few pens, the bulk of which changed hands. A nice line of extra good springing dairy heifers made the satisfactory price of £6 12s Cd. We quote:—Two tooth wethers, 12s 7d; breeding ewes. 10s 6d up to 14s 9d; hoggera, 10s Gd to lis; springing heifers, good. £6 12s 6d: mixed yearlings, £2 3s 6d.
