Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the ,24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Wednesday was 46 points. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 18. The following is the Rev. D. C Bates' weather forecast:—Changeable and showery weather is propßble generally with moderate to strong southerly winds. There are indications for a rising barometer, 'hut with very unstable pressure, especially in the North, where developments am unusual at the present time, and indicate a change.
