CHEAP CABLES. If the British and colonial Governments would establish fifteen wireless stations at certain liked points, each having a range of 2,000 miles, the whole Empire could be easily and cheaply linked in a continuous chain of communication, and an actual profit could be made even now on a penny-a word rate within the Empire. There is evidently a great future before "wireless," remarks the "Star."" But much may be done to facilitate and economise transmission on the existing cables.
