FIRE ON A STEAMER.
CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE. Received August 16, 10.20 p.m. LONDON, August 16. A fierce fire raged in the Lucania's steerage quarters and saloon hold for fifteen hours, while the vessel was at Liverpool. The fire was not extinguished unti the vessel was partially sumberged and almost completely gutted, from the funnels forward.
