A great earthquake has occurred in Central Japan, the towns of Nagoya, Kyoto, and Osaka being chiefly affected. Thirty persons were killed, and eighty-two injured. NAGOYA BADLY DAMAGED. Received August 16, 10.30 p.m. TOKIO. August 16. Nagayo is badly damaged. It is estimated that the kilied and injured is hourly increasing, doubling the original figures. Mount Miki, an extinct volcano, collapsed with a thunderous roar.
