The match between the Australian cricketers and an All-England Eleven wad resumed to-day at Blackpool in fine weather. The wicket was in good condition. The English team, with 379 runs on the Board for the loss of three wickets, resumed their first innings with King and Crawford, the notout men. King added a single to his overnight score, and then Carter snapped him at the wickets. Four for 382. V. Crawford took his place, and made some rapid scoring, his tally consisting of a sixer and several fourers. Five for 441. Coe was caught at point. Six for 474. J. Crawford, after a brilliant innings, was caught by Ransford, at long-on. Seven for 491. Reeve was cleverly caught by O'Connor. Eight for 522. The ninth wicket fell at 533, and the innings, "which had lasted for 365 minutes, closed for a total of 567 runs. Scores: — ENGLAND. First Innings. The Australians wen!: to the wickets after lunch. Hartigan began to score fast, although he nearly lost his wicket when he had scored a single, Douglas missing him at second slip off Buckenham. Half a century appeared in 25 minutes, despite several changes of bowling, and 100 was up in 45 minutes. Hartigan played excellent a'll*round cricket. His half century was knocked off in 38 minutes. Carter played a sound innings, but eventually got leg before to King. M'Alister came in, but Hartigan was stumped before any addition had been made to the score. Two for 130. Ransford was dismissed off Buckenham's second ball. Three for 142. Gregory, after making nine, played the ball on to his wicket. Four for 166. The second century appeared in 105 minutes. Trumper batted brilliantly. He gave a chance to Shields,off Buckenham when he had made a couple. His score included six tourers. He was at the wickets 40 minutes. Five for 249. Macalister was caught by Shields after scoring 50, which in eluded six fourers. Six for 252. MonkinM waa dismissed hv'a catch by V. Crawford. Seven for 28'*.

Eisrht for 314. The ninth wicket fell at 326. The last two men were caught in the slips. Following on after lunch Carter after a fluky innings, was caught at mid-off from a skyer at 37. The second wicket (Hartigan) went at 53. MacAlister and Ransford carried the total to 103 when Ransford went. Four for 138. MacAlister and Trumper became partnered, and were stiil together at the tea adjournment, the board showing four for 208. On resuming MacAlister. at 85, was bowled by Douglas. He batted 185 minutes. Five for 252. 'Noble was next, and stayed foi 35 minutes, the sixth wicket going at 355. Trumper went on to 150, when Reeves found the way in. During Trumper's 155 minutes at the wicket he gave no chances, and hit a sixer, a fiver and 24 fourers. AUSTRALIA. First Innings.
