STOCK MARKET.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Eketahuna yesterday. They had a heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle. Sheep dragged somewhat under the hammer, and vendors' in most cases had to lower their reserves, but we succeeded in quitting the bulk of our yarding. Dairy cattle met with a dragging sale, except sorts that were well for-, ward, which sold well. They quote: -Ewes in lamb, lis 6d to 13s lid; ewe hoggets, to 12s lOcl; mixed hoggets 6s Bd, 8s Id, to 9s 6d; 2tooth wethers, 13s to 13s 3d. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd, report as iollows on their Eketahuna stock sale, held yesterday: —Stock came forward in excess of advertised numbers, and we have to report a successful sale. We quote: Sheep: Ewes in lamb, best, 13s 6d, others 12s 6d; fat and forward wethers; 13s 2d, 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 13s 3d to 14s; hoggets best, 10s lid; others. 8s 6d. Cattle: Fat cows, £4 2s 6d; cows in calf, £4 2a 6d, £4 12s 6d, £5, £6 to £7; empty cows. L'7s 6d to £2 10s; heifers in calf, £4 5s to £5 7s 6d; 2year empty heifers, £2 2s 6d to £2 14s; bullocks, £5 15s; 18-month steers, £3 9s; yearling steers, 265.
