MANAWATU AND WEST COAST A. AND P. ASSOCIATION. There is to hand a copy of the schedule of prizes for the Spring Show and Industrial Exhibition to be held on November 3rd, 4th and sth, 1909. at Palmerston North. The Show ring competitions catchthe eye on opening the book, and there are many new features, amongst them four motor car competitions. The Steeplechase and Hunters' Competitions have £ll3 in prize money, in addition to the Manawatu Challenge Cup., The live stock classes are fully set out with valuable prizes for thoroughbreds, carriage horses, ponies, saddle and nameas, draughts. Shorthorns, Herefords, AberdeenAngus. Ayrshire, Jersey, Holsteins, dairy cows, champion butter fat competition, fat stock, Liincnlns. Romneys, English and Border Leicesters, Southdowns (four sections), farmers' shaep, fleece wool, sheep judging competition, six breeds of pigs, and poultry. i'he Manawatu Kennel Club's Dog Show, held at the same time and place, is also in the schedule; besides the comprehensive section's for natural history, photography, technical and public schools, home cookery and needlework. The prize money offered must total something like £1,700. and the big Manawatu Show caters for every section'of the community. A free copy of the prize list can be obtained on writing to Mr J. C.
