> Mr H. Saint-George, Trinity College examiner, is due to arrive at. Auckland on the 16th instant. He' is expected to reach Wellington about. the 20th September. Sergeant.Potts, a popular member of the Eketahuna Mounted Rifles,, who is leaving Eketahuna short iy',, will be tendered a smoke concert this evening, by his corps, and mad* the recipient of a presentation. The news of the death of Mrs Charles Seagar, at Siiverstream, will be received with regret by a very wide circle of friends and relatives throughout New Zealand. The deceased and her husband were amongst the very first to settle in the Hutt "Valley, where they have resided ever since. Mr Seagar was possibly the oldest living shipping proprietor in Wellington. Mrs Seagar, who, has well filled life's allotted span, only recently returned from a trip to Rotorua, since when she gradually fell into a decline, the end coming peacefully at midnight on Tuesday.
