Last evening a very bright star was to be saen in the Western sky, the brilliancy of the star throwing out a light equal to that of a new moon a few days old. On Saturday evening several residents reported seeing a strange light in the same direction, which was probably accounted for by the fact that misty clouds had gathered round this star. Some, however, assert that the object they saw was the mysterious air ship at present supposed to be flying round New Zealand. The annual ball of the Bush Rugby Union will this year be held at Nireaha.
