TAYLOR-CARRINGTON PICTURES.
'"- As already announced the TaylorCarrington Company have decided to relinquish their high-class humanised picture entertainments in favour of a large and efficient dramatic company. This deservedly popular combination has ever been exceptionally well treated by theatre-goers, and as a mark of appreciation of past patronage the firm, at some little trouble and expense, made it their especial business to conclude the picture tour at Masterton Last night was chosen for the final presentation and the result was a crowded attendance at tho Town Hall. The management eclipsed all previous efforts by submitting a specially selected programme of pictures which was so varied in character as to provide a most entertaining evening's amusement. Not only were there films depicting travel, and dramatic and humourous studies, but the colour effects of some of the art pictures were of a high order of merit. The company has brought the "stage effects," which they harmonise with each film, to a wonderful degree of perfection. One picture "The Bridge of Sighs" was . inclined to be on the morbid side. The humourous films were most diverting, and the final picture showing the pranks of a "mischievous boy"- fairly convulsed the audience. It ii to be regretted that the management has relinquished entertainments that have always proved so interesting and at the, same time entertaining.
