NEW ZEALAND'S POPULATION.
By Tile-graph —Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 5 Th2 population of New Zealand on June 30th lost (exclusive of Maoris 47,731, and Cook Islanders) is estimated at 969,346. During the June quarter arrivals numbered 6,725, and the departures 10,242, or a l>3s of papulation of 3,517. There were, however, 6,730 births as against 2.180 deaths, making the net increase for the quarter 1,033.
