BOATING ACCIDENT.
THREE LIVES LOST. By Telegraph —Press Association. AUCKLAND, August 2. A boat belonging to the mission steamer Southern Cross capsized in the harbour to-night. The chief engineer (R. Rae), the chief steward (T Mealand) and a native' boy, named Jimmy, being drowned. Four others had! a narrow e. c .pe, being in the water foi some time before they were rescued by a ferry steamer.
