MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

The annual general meeting of mem bers of the Masterton A. and P. Association will be held this afternoon, in the Exchange Hal I,[and there will, no doubt, be a large attendance. The Association is growing with wondertul rapidity, and the splendid value of the work that- it performs is becoming more and more pronounced. Elsewhere in this issue there

appears an account of an interview ' which a representative of thi-- journal had with the new President (Mr G. C. Summertil) in which is briefly indicated the present position of the Association and the work that lies ahead of the officers and committee to be elected to-day. The nominations are certainly of a representative character, and the result of tue election cannot be otherwise than satisfactory. It must be gratifying to tha new President to realise that he has been unanimously elected to the position that he cccpuies in view of the fact that the work of the ensuing jear will be exceptionally strenuous, and, moreover, that financial questions ot great importanca will be dealt with. In prevailing upon Mr Summerell to accept the honourable and onerous position of President a wise selection has certainly been made, and while wishing the Association every success during the present financial feel ( ,sure that at its conclusion we shall have good reason to congratulate the members, one and all, upon the success achieved, and the praiseworthy devplopment effected.
