NEGLECTED KURIPUNI.

To the Editor. Sir, —I would respectfully draw to the fact that while most parts of the Wairarapa, notably Lansdowne, are well represented in our local journal:?, Kunpuni is completely ignored. The residents of the southern end of the town find this very humiliating, so I therefore beg of y u to accept me as correspondent for this fair suburb. A few items forthwith:— A Rood deal of rain has fallen in Kuripuni this month, but we do not expect much more, as we are so near the 31st The moon has shone with remarkable brilliancy for two or three nights; the light was very useful in illuminating puddles formed by the recent rains. The sun rises every morning with great regularity and sets in the evening; on wet days the residents of Kuripuni do not see It. The gardens at this end of the town are for the most part looking v?ry picturesque, undergoing the proC3ss of bung dug up ready for the spring planting. Our cook left this morning for a short hol'day; she travelled by motor 'bus, and is expected back this evening. A curirjs wirm was f Hind by a Kuiipunitf. On turning it over (even a worm will turn, you know) it was found t" 1 be deal. I am, etc., KURIPUNI CORKESPONDWNT. Kuripuni, July 22th. [Unless the public display unusual interest in the items gratuitously given by this Kuripuni correspond ent, we cannot guar uitee to publish any further conributions from the same source. —Ed. W.A.]
