ANNUAL DANCE. The HnnuaJj3p?J»rand f d.a,nce of th? lfed Star FovTball Chb wa« h« ]A . !:: the Foresters' Hall last evening, and was a decided success from every point of view. About two hundred persons were present, and an enjoyable evening was spent. The music was supplied by Mr F. McKenzie, and extras were played by Misses Hogg, and O'Leary and Messrs Mcintosh and T. Wrigley. The duties of M's.C. were carried out by Messrs J. Scorrar. E. Welch, W. Darvill, and K„ Welch, The Buccess of the function was largely due to the excellent work of the ladies' committee, consisting of Mrs J. Welch (President), Misses Williams, E Ward, Florrie Miller, K. O'Leary. Thompson (2), I.'Welch, N. O'Leary, Fanny Miller, L. Reynolds, A. Ball, and Mrs Ashton. Mr G. Ward had charge of the refreshments, and the club are indebted to bim for his services. Mr T. G. Hoar was a capable secretary, and was abiy assisted by Mr E. Welch (Patron), Mr J. Scorrar (Vice-Pre-sident), and an energetic committee. Duriog evening Mr E. Welch made three presentations on behalf of the club. To Mr T. G. Hoar, the secretary, he presented a silver mounted cigar bolder and silver match box in case, in recognition of his services as sectetary; to Mr E. Hooper, senior line umpire, a silver mounted cigarette and card case; and to Mr B. Iveson a gentleman's cumpanion. The predentations were suitably acknowledged.
