Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Pain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Wednesday was 6 points. By Telegraph - Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 28. The following is the Rev. D. 0. Bates' general weather forecast. Westerly winds strong to gale, are probable generally, and changing tc southerly after. From IS to 24 hours the weather will ba unsettled, and squally. The change to the soutward will probably bring rain generally, and snow in high country, with colder weather everywhere.
